My Priorities for success!
Supporting our Public Safety
As we come up on 2024 we are seeing record low crime rates. I believe this is attributed directly towards the community of Chandler and the support and trust they have in our department. I had the opportunity to serve Chandler Police Department volunteering over a thousand hours to the department and going on hundreds of hours of ride alongs. I got to witness first hand how hard the men and women in Chandler PD work and am grateful every day to live, work and play in a city that is kept safe by them. I can assure you that our department is well trained, well equipped and well supported. However supporting public safety means being proactive and that is exactly what I plan to do. Currently across the east valley teen violence is becoming a hot topic. Being proactive means bringing the resources and programs that I have witnessed first hand in our department to the youth and parents in our community. So we can enhance and promote positive interactions and ensure that youth and parents feel comfortable and safe when reaching out to Chandler PD. This in turn makes our community safer for all generations.
Developing Chandler’s Workforce
Many communities are seeing a “silver tsunami” as many generations start retiring and enjoy the fruits of their labor, we are seeing an exodus in our workforce. It is crucial for us to revitalize our city to guarantee the prosperity and longevity of our city for decades to come and that starts with developing our workforce. As your council member I would like to maintain strong partnerships with local universities and our local community college. While strengthening those partnerships I want to also look in-house and support trades and CTE programs and innovate the city’s very own Leaders In Training Program, Fire cadets, Police cadets and the Mayor’s Youth Commission to give students front row seats to experience and develop a strong work ethic before entering the workforce. I look forward to continuing partnerships with the local businesses, Corporations, Chambers of commerce and stake holders in our city to develop our workforce for the longevity of Chandler.
Supporting The American Dream
As a first generation American and the son of 2 immigrants, I watched both my parents work hard each and every day to attain their American dream. My parents both instilled the value of working hard, trusting God and staying positive. Those are the values I bring not just to council but in every day life since it served my parents so well from not being able to speak English to building a successful family and life. I want to ensure that all future generations have their chance to attain their American dream regardless or circumstance or background. This is why Chandler is dubbed an “All-American” city because people of all background and communities chase their American dream and work hard for future generations to thrive. For our future generations to thrive we need to continue creating high paying jobs, maintaining a safe city, investing in effective transportation and securing water for the future. I as your council member promise to work towards making Chandler the premier American dream city for all people to work, live and thrive.
Advancing Parks and Field
While working for the City of Chandler’s Parks and Rec division the one common theme I found that dismayed parents of Chandler was the lack of readily available fields for youth sports. Chandler continues to be a premier city to raise a family in Arizona and the level of readily accessible fields we have available does not equate the demand. As your council member I am committed to exploring partnerships to continue expanding and advancing Chandlers parks and fields to ensure Chandler is the premier city to raise a family. At the end of the day when students leave for college or careers we want them to look back on their childhood and want to come back to Chandler to raise their next generation.
